Reporting to the Maintenance manager, the role of the Plant Maintenance Technician is to diagnose and repair a wide range of pieces of equipment and utilities used within the precast manufacturing plants.

  • Harley, ON (between Brantford and Woodstock, ON) 
  • Dayshift and Nightshift positions available!

     

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Work with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks.
  • Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, concrete batching systems, genie booms, boom trucks, forklifts, and other hand-powered tools.
  • Troubleshoot and test equipment. 
  • Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment 
  • Weld and fabricate as required.
  • Facilitate the start-up and installation of new equipment.
  • Schedule maintenance along with production requirements
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and monitoring of all equipment.
  • Performing and recording work orders.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 3 years of knowledge of trades related to equipment / electrical etc. and asset
  • Proficient in the use of all tools of trade,
  • Practical working experiences are an asset, and
  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Detailed record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Provide your own standard tools.
  • Licensed Millwright or wanting to work towards licensing
