We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Lead AI Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead and implement real-world AI solutions in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who has successfully delivered AI initiatives from concept to deployment and is passionate about using data-driven approaches to solve industrial challenges.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the AI Engineer will focus on building proof of concepts, developing AI models, and operationalizing AI capabilities within our production systems. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring direct engagement with operational and technical stakeholders.
THE DAY TO DAY
- AI Solution Development: Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models tailored to solve manufacturing and operational challenges.
- Proof of Concept Creation: Lead the creation and testing of AI/ML proof of concepts that can be scaled into production.
- Project Implementation: Own end-to-end AI project delivery—from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch monitoring—with a track record of at least two successful project completions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, operations, and business teams to identify high-impact AI use cases.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain high-quality documentation of models, processes, and performance metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor model performance post-deployment and propose enhancements to ensure sustained value.
- Team Enablement: Share knowledge, mentor peers when appropriate, and contribute to the growth of the internal AI competency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align project goals and expectations.
Education
Experience Required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- Demonstrated success in delivering at least two completed AI projects from start to finish.
- Industry experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Proficient in Python, with experience in tools like Google Colab, Jupyter, or similar.
- Experience with common machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of data preprocessing, model evaluation, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
