Job Description

Toyota Tsusho Canada, Inc., (TTCI) located in Woodstock, ON, is currently looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our ever-growing team. TTCI is part of the Toyota Tsusho Group of companies located world-wide, and we are part of a multi-market, multi-business enterprise with expertise in exporting and importing, new manufacturing, intermediate goods processing and logistics in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Our Logistics Specialists are an integral part of our operations, supporting the receiving/shipping functions within our warehouse. This role reports directly to the Assistant Project Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following (non-inclusive):

  • Arrange import and export of shipments by various multimodal transports (Air, Ocean, Road and Rail) from various domestic, North American and overseas sources.
  • Receive all materials entering the warehouse facility and offsite warehouse
  • Manage delivery schedules with suppliers and logistics carriers
  • Operate in Blue Yonder and other systems to manage expiry dates, material movements and levels in facility and in external warehouses
  • Manage daily business issues and resolve them in a timely manner (expedites, quality issues, delivery schedule)
  • Assess and manage parts and other commodity inventory levels in the warehouse to ensure continuity of supply both internally and externally
  • Liaise with sales, carriers and customers/suppliers to manage inbound and outbound shipments
  • Identify, analyze, and manage potential and actual issues and risks, take corrective action by tackling day-to-day issues
  • Prepare accurate reports and KPI’s for management
  • Individually or on a team basis work on various projects to improve internal processes
  • Support both FEFO and FIFO picking and tote management using Blue Yonder
  • All other duties as assigned

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Operations Management, Production Control or Supply Chain preferred
  • Logistics experience: 3 years
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, as well as an aptitude to learn new systems is essential. Advanced MS Excel and/or Access skills would be an asset
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Must be able to work over-time when required, including weekends if necessary
  • This position may require occasional travel both domestic and international
