Job Description

POSITION:    Disability Management Specialist (Competition #2026-34)

LOCATION:           Human Resources & Corporate Services

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:     Permanent Full-time

REPORTING TO:                   Senior Coordinator, Employee Health & Disability Management

UNION AFFILIATION:           Non-Union

WAGE RATE:                        $49.94/hr-$62.43/hr ($90,890.80-$113,622.60/annually)

POSITION SUMMARY:         

Ensures effective and efficient delivery of Oxford County’s human resources services relating to disability management, attendance management and employee wellness.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                

  • Post-secondary education in human resources and/or disability management certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience in disability management in a unionized setting.
  • Municipal and/or broader public sector experience an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Labour Relations, Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Safety and Insurance and Employment Standards Acts and regulations.
  • Proven organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Knowledge of Parklane Systems experience an asset.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license is required.
