Responsibilities

 

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you’ll diagnose and repair compact construction equipment. You’ll be the go-to expert our customers rely on to keep their operations running, handling everything from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics. You’ll maintain your tools and service vehicle, and stay sharp through ongoing training.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair Compact Construction Equipment as required.
  • Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
  • Participates in required Service JDU (John Deere University) Training programs.
  • Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the service office and documents on work order.
  • May be required to discuss technical items and repair details with customers.
  • May be requested to support custome
